It is with a sad and heavy heart that we communicate to you another passing in our Pennridge Guard, Drum Line, and Marching Band Family.
Rebe Williams’ husband Gary lost his long, hard fought battle to cancer on Thursday, April 20th. Gary was an amazing drum instructor and has touched the hearts of many of our children. Though some of you may not have had the privilege of meeting Gary, both he and Rebe embodied the idea of our marching group very much being a family.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to Rebe and her family during this very difficult time. As information becomes available in regards to arrangements and services, we will make sure that this information becomes available to everyone.
On August 26,2016 John McMordie, a 2011 Pennridge Graduate, passed away at the age of 23. John was an amazing young man and musician. He played the trumpet in the Marching Band, Orchestra and Jazz Band.
Upon his passing, in lieu of flowers and in recognition of John’s generous spirit, the family requested that blood donations be made to the American Red Cross to “pay it forward”. To do our part, the PMA is sponsoring a Blood Drive in John’s Memory.
The blood drive is scheduled for Friday, March 17, 2017, 2:30-7:30 PM at the Pennridge High School Band and Choir Rooms.
Below is a link to sign up to donate as well as all the information pertaining to the drive.

On Friday August 26th, we lost a very special PHS Alumnus – John McMordie, Class of 2011. John was a member of the marching band, jazz band, and the orchestra. He also participated in the bands at the district, regional, state, and All Eastern US levels. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers as they get through this difficult time.
